Introduction
This set of four 100mm Heavy Duty Mecanum 4 Wheels. Mecanum wheel is a wheel with a series of rollers attached to its circumference with rollers having axis of rotation at 45 degrees. These wheels are most suitable for high performance robots, Robocon, Robocup, US First, Battle robots etc. Since Left and right wheels are mirror images of each other these wheels are given as set of 4 wheels.

Mecanum wheel is a wheel with a series of rollers attached to its circumference with rollers having axis of rotation at 45 degrees to the plane of the wheel. In general 4 Mecanum wheels are used in a robot. By varying the speed and direction of the motors robot can be made to move in any direction without changing its orientation.
Moving all four wheels in forward and backward cause direction causes the robot to move in forward and backward. Running wheels opposite to each other in each side causes robot to move in the lateral way without changing orientation. Other speed and direction combinations causes robot to move in different directions. The main advantage of the Mecanum wheels above Omnidirectional wheels is that all four wheels contributes force when robot is moving in forward, backward, left or right direction without changing orientation.
