Ultrasonic Range Finder HC SR-04

Introduction:

HC SR-04 Ultrasonic Sensor module is low cost range sensor. It provides 2cm - 400cm distance measurement function, with accuracy of 3mm.The modules easy pin configuiration makes it suitable for interfacing in any embedded application. To measure the distance, a 10uSec TTL pulse is applied to ultrasonic sensor module. The measured distance range from HC SR-04 Ultrasonic Sensor module is the pulse width modulated signal, which can be processed with microcontroller in timer mode operation. It is recommended to read the information given in the poduct manual linked below.

Note:

• The module will not give best results when testing objects/reflective surface size is less than 0.5 square meters.
• The reflective surface should be as smooth as possible otherwise,it will affect the results.
