FIRE BIRD VI is reliable, versatile and rugged robot for advance research in mobile robotics. The interface is designed to get a user started very quickly. The unique architecture of this robot allows it to be used in many areas of applications such as mapping, autonomous navigation, collaborative robotics, tele-presence and many more. An outstanding battery life of 6 hours provides excellent uninterrupted development time. This robot is currently being used in several R&D organizations for cutting edge research in mobile robotics.

Equipped with onboard computer for vision processing, laser range finder, vision based stereo range finders, integrated inertial correction to compensate for slippage, digital compass, GPS/ DGPS receiver, support for Manipulators and Grippers, the Fire Bird VI robot is ideal for learning undergraduate and advanced robotics courses.

Support for numerous programming languages means that you can choose from a wide variety of development environments you are most comfortable with. The supported programming environments include C, C++, Python, MATLAB, SCILAB, and Robot Operating System (ROS).
3D simulation in Gazebo (ROS) facilitates carrying out state of the art simulation based experiments.
