Single Board Heater System(SBHS)

The SBHS(Single Board Heater System) is a low cost, Portable lab-in-a-box setup suitable for performing numerous control experiments ranging from open loop system identification such as Step and Ramp tests to closed loop control systems like 2 degree of freedom control(2DOF), Internal model control systems(IMC) and many more. SBHS can be thought of as a plant or process with a very small time constant of the order of a minute.

This product is designed by NEX Robotics in collaboration with virtual labs, IIT Bombay and Manufactured by NEX Robotics.

Technical Specifications

• Powered by 12 volts 400W SMPS
• Micro-controller: ATmega 16(with ISP programming facility)
• Serial RS232 and USB support to communicate with PC
• Temperature is sensed by AD590 temperature sensor.
• Heater current and fan speed are two control inputs for this system.
• 16X2 character LCD for displaying temperature, Fan & Heater in % of max value and Machine ID(MID)
